323 Squadron is located opposite the main gate of RAAF Base Glenbrook. The unit parades on Wednesday Evenings opening at 1800h (6pm) during school terms. No.323SQN has a dynamic training environment with a focus on giving opportunities to cadets to learn unique skills and the fundamentals of flight.
In your first year at 323SQN you will be giving the opportunity to:
- Learn drill and parade at public events.
- Go out bush for overnight camps and train in survival and fieldcraft.
- Work as a team to achieve goals in service of the community.
- Be taught about aviation and have the opportunity to fly.
The Squadron is based close to the Great Western Highway in Lapstone inbetween Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains. 323SQN is greatly assisted by RAAF Base Glenbrook and is surrounded by bushland where some training is undertaken.
323 Squadron has been the recipient of the NSW RAAF Association Most Efficient Squadron Award from 2018 to 2020 and 2022 being Runner Up in 2021 and 3 Wing Squadron of the Year for 2022 and 2023.

OUR NEXT RECRUIT EXPERIENCE EVENING IS: 20 NOV 2024 at 6.00pm to 7.30pm (Depart facility at conclusion).

The Recruit Experience Evening is there to give you an idea about what cadets has to offer and whether you want to proceed with your application.

- Recruitment Period Opens October 1st, 2024
- Recruit Training Weekend - 22 - 23 February 2025 (Compulsory attendance to provide basic training to prepare for initial attendance)

HISTORY
In 2016, 323SQN was officially granted Freedom of the City of Blue Mountains by Mayor Cr. Mark Greenhill OAM, citing various community service work and the commendation for our efforts during the 2013 Winmalee bush fires.
