604 Squadron, based at Hampstead Barracks in Greenacres, South Australia, is a proud squadron of the Australian Air Force Cadets (AAFC). As a youth development organisation affiliated with the Royal Australian Air Force, we are dedicated to developing the next generation of Australian leaders through aviation-focused training, discipline, and teamwork.
Our distinctive squadron emblem, a winged lion leaping boldly forward, symbolizes our commitment to excellence and reflects our aviation heritage. Approved in 2015, our motto "Hear the Lion Roar" captures the spirit and energy that defines our squadron community.

604 Squadron has currently reached capacity for the 2026 intake and no further EOIs can be accepted. Please consider our neighbouring squadrons: 601, 617, 608, 613 and 620, or if Hampstead Barracks is the best option for you consider 44 Army Cadet Unit. Thank you.
